The Accessibility Commissioner
In the future, the Accessibility Commissioner will be able to receive and investigate complaints from people who have been harmed because organizations did not follow the Act and the Accessible Canada Regulations. The Accessibility Commissioner’s complaints system is not available yet.
For now, people with disabilities can continue to file complaints with:
- the Canadian Human Rights Commission (CHRC) about discrimination.
- the Canadian Transportation Agency (CTA) about barriers in the federal; transportation system.
- the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) about barriers in broadcasting and telecommunications.
